Director of Training
Jeff Sanders is a Founding Partner and Director of Training for The Athletes Edge. Following an all-star baseball career at Naples High School, Jeff received a scholarship to play outfield for High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. Jeff started as a true freshman finishing up the season batting .326. Following a career ending injury during his sophomore season, Jeff transferred to the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. In 2000, Jeff was certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES) in 2004.
Jeff worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 2001-2003. While with the Ravens, he worked with some of the most influential coaches in the NFL, including: Chip Morton of the Cincinnati Bengals; Mark Asanovich of the Jacksonville Jaguars; Kurt Schultz of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Juney Barnette of the Minnesota Vikings; and Jeff Friday and Paul Ricci formerly of the Baltimore Ravens.
Jeff has experience as a Speed and Agility Coach at Cris Carter’s FAST Program focusing predominately on speed dynamics and innovative sports specific training modalities. Prior to working in the strength and conditioning field, he gained clinical experience working in the inpatient post operation division of Shands hospital in Gainesville, Florida. While at Shands, Jeff’s primary focus was on rehabilitating total hip and knee replacements as well as gait training for brain and spinal cord injuries.
Strength and Conditioning Coach and Baseball Training Specialist
Scott Hannes is a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Baseball Training Specialist for The Athletes Edge. Scott received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University where he was a member of the baseball program as a pitcher and utility fielder. Following his share of unfortunate injuries including Tommy John and a torn hamstring and prior experiences in Physical Therapy he not only focuses on improving an athlete’s performance on the field but also on injury prevention. Scott is currently certified by the International Fitness Professionals Association as a personal fitness trainer. In addition to Scott’s involvement with The Athletes Edge he is also the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the St. Thomas University baseball program in Miami Gardens as well as an assistant to all other sports.
Lead Perfomance Trainer and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Meredith Parry has been a licensed and certified athletic trainer and member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since December 2009. Meredith graduated with her Masters of Science in Movement Science with a focus of injury and biomechanics at Barry University in 2010. She has worked in NAIA Division II athletics as an athletic trainer since January 2010. Meredith also has experience with Doctor’s Hospital as a certified athletic trainer for their sports medicine outreach program. Through this program Meredith has served as an athletic trainer for the Dolphins Academy summer camp program, 7v7 flag football tournaments and various other sporting events sponsored by Doctor’s Hospital. Meredith is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) as of June 2014. With Athlete’s Edge, Meredith specializes in strength and conditioning for female athletes ranging from beginner to college level. During her first year working with Athlete’s Edge, Meredith was the strength coach for St. Thomas University’s women’s volleyball team who proceeded to finish the 2014 season as conference champions. Meredith’s combined expertise of sports medicine and strength and conditioning contributes to her focus in ACL injury prevention tactics. Meredith dedicates both her personal and professional life to fitness, health, and wellness.
Fitness and Athletic Training
In the spring of 2012, Davin Bush, ventured out on his own to take part in the world of fitness and athletic training. With an extensive athletic background, it seems as if fitness training was his destiny. Bush, as his clients call him, attended Hialeah Miami Lakes Sr. High School in which he was recognized for his talents on both the track and football field. Some of his most valuable achievements included, being named the 200- Meter State Champion and receiving a football scholarship to The University of Florida. While in college, Bush, maintained a healthy and fit lifestyle that contributed to his excellence on the football field. He played 3 years in college as a starting CB and later joined the CFL (Canadian Football League). Inspired by his own aspiration and self determination, he worked his way to the top by becoming one of top Defensive back players in that league.
In just a few year’s time, his demand in the fitness world has grown tremendously as he has joined the Athlete’s Edge team and while being an assistant coach at a popular south Florida high school, Flanagan Sr. High. Bush’s plans include expanding his clientele and building an elite staff. He also wants to open a larger facility that will allow him to accommodate everyone who requests his services. SEAN WILLIAMS, MPT
Sean has been practicing physical therapy for the past 17 years specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine. He started his career as a staff physical therapist at HealthSouth Rehabilitation and later was promoted to an administrative role where he managed various facilities.
In 2005 Sean persued other aspects of his career and co-founded and owned Dynamic Physical Therapy & Sport Enhancement, Inc. in Miami Lakes. He provided a foundation for this corporation that made it successful. He served as President until April 2013.
Mr. Williams founded and extablished Extreme Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Inc. in June 2013 which is well recognized in the community for providing excellent and individualized care. He is the driving force in creating new opportunities in Rehabilitation for Extreme Sports Medicine & Rehab.
His education experience includes the University of Miami where he received a bachelors degree in Health Science. He attended graduate school, Nova SouthEastern University, where he received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy.
Sean has worked with and is the liaison to some of the top orthopedic physicians in Dade and Broward county. He currently works with local high schools and universities in treating their athletes. Sean is currently a part of the sports medicine team at St. Thomas University, serving as team physical therapist.
Mr Williams has deleloped Rehabilitation Programs for both collegiate and professional athletes. He has dealt with organizations such as the NFL, NCAA, MLB, NBA, & ATP.

Track Coach; Speed Training Expert
Owen McGregor, founder of OTownSports, LLC specializes in progressive speed training for team and Individual athletes seeking to acquire and develop proper fundamentals for increased Speed, Endurance, Flexibility and Agility (Reaction, Anticipation, Mobility, Lateral Movement) Coach McGregor has successfully trained World Class Olympic athletes, sprinters, jumpers, professional players in the NFL, NBA and MLB, UTA, WPS, and notable NCAA and High School athletes.
McGregor, in his own right was a top World Class sprinter for his native Jamaica. As it is widely known, Jamaica has produced some of the most successful track and field athletes using highly effective technique training and skill practice. Combining his unique approach with his training experience as a competitive athlete and 25 years as a professional coach, McGregor has developed a quality comprehensive speed program proven to elevate player performance.
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Andrew recently moved to Miami from Springfield, MA where he graduate with Summa Cum Laude standing from the prestigious Strength and Conditioning graduate program at Springfield College. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2011), a Certified Sport Nutritionist through the International Society of Sport Nutrition (2012) , as well as holds USAW Level 1 Weightlifting credentials and FMS Level 2 advanced correctives. He is published in the Strength and Conditioning Journal, as well as both online and in print with Men’s Health. As a strength coach, his experience ranges from the American Hockey League, to international rugby (Fiji National 7’s women’s team / U20 National Development Academy, US Olympic Development Academy), to collegiate athletics working with Division 3 Football, Soccer, Tennis, and Baseball teams. He is currently pursing a PhD in exercise Physiology at the University of Miami where he is an member of the UM Men’s Hockey team (ACHA Div. III) as well as instructor for KIN 150 General Nutrition for Health and Performance.
